On Basic SWAT Fundamentals Course October 2007:
I would like to take a moment and thank the entire APC training team. The Basic SWAT course has given our department the foundation necessary to continue building our team on firm ground. The combination of classroom training along with physical training and practical exercises made the experience complete. The instructional methods utilized by the APC staff are superior in there design and execution. We are looking forward to putting the lessons learned from the course into our teams training.
Thank you,

On Basic SWAT Fundamentals Course March 2007:
To the guys at APC,
The week spent in BASIC SWAT/CERT is an experience that will be with me for the remainder of my days on the street and beyond. The planning and preparation of the instructors was evident and top notch. All the instructors came with a passion to teach and real world experience to back it up. All too often in classes I have received hours of power points and minutes of useful training. I can assure anyone looking at an APC course this is not the case. This class was physically demanding and mentally challenging; everyone earned the certificate. The live fire progressions from standing shooting paper to rapid multiple man entry was safe and professional. APC’s “Real World, Real Time, Real Training” mission mantra was met and I look forward to more real world training in the future.

On Active Shooter Instructor Course February 2007:
Joe,
Just wanted to say thanks again for both letting me take part in the class, and for the great 3 days of training. The classroom, the drills, the force on force and the tools we used were 100%. A student can see how an instructor enters a room and presents him or herself to a class, and conclude the instructor is real, or is a fraud out to make money. Your desire to train others and your passion for the preservation of life to the people you serve should be commended. You don't find too many people out there any more who have the drive to train and train others to the best of their abilities, to save lives. But then again I expect nothing less from the Marines. Semper Fi. Art is also a great instructor and takes as much time as needed to explain things, answer any questions, and entertain any ideas, comments, or suggestions. And Dean was a great help on day three, taking care of gear and being an extra role player. I can't wait to play the videos over again and see my own mistakes. I did learn some new things and got to brush up on some old things, and had a blast doing so.
Best regards and good luck with the company, and on the street.

Attention Operators* From the streets to the jails to my fellow firefighters who help protect my family and yours in our time of need. Here is a quick testimonial that proves that some times all the gadgets and gizmos in the world that are taught in training some times do not work. The bottom line is when things go to the next level and saving lives is a stake, you go with what you know. Here is a recent moment that an operator who volunteers as a firefighter utilizes his "tactical intelligence" given to him in some previous intense training:
From: Officer Marczewski Sent: Monday, April 10, 2006 9:40 AM To: Deputy Chief Hishmeh
DC,
Yesterday, 04/09/2006, Clark had a fire in a commercial office building. As a Capt. on the dept. I was put in charge of a search and rescue team on the fire floor. Myself and my team (4 firefighter’s total) carried a halogen, small pry bar and a rabbit tool (hydraulic tool to force doors). Anyway, we forced over 30 doors. My team began using the rabbit tool first which requires to people to work effectively and fast. I prevailed as “THE MAN” when I was able to kick in the doors. Some doors were solid and all doors had metal frames. Basically the door just cracked around the handle and flew open. I owe this shining moment to my recent ESU training. Anyway I thought you might like this story, I was pumped needless to say.

If you are looking for a Basic SWAT/CERT Operator Course where you spend a week sitting around drinking coffee this course is not for you. If you are looking for a high speed, physically and mentally challenging course where you EARN your certification then this is the course for you. Joe and Art take the time to run all exercises dry and then at full speed utilizing live fire while ensuring that the maximum safety of the student is maintained. All range exercises are conducted with movement and live fire in a “360 Degree” environment. Ground combative training covering long gun weapon retention is covered. The week culminates in an all out full day of practical scenarios in different environments utilizing force on force training tools. Great course run by “real world operators” teaching “real world techniques”. Keep up the great work Joe and see you at future courses.

On the R.A.P. AIR™ System:
Joe,
I wanted to give you a heads up on what I thought of the training we received through APCLLC. I personally have never heard so many great reviews before from the others in a class. The people in the class were amazed and so was I. Your concept of force on force training really steps training up to a whole new level. I actually felt the emotion and the heart rate increase during the scenarios that were run. With my background as a former service member, I feel that this type of training will one day replace the static target arena and better prepare all agencies (military or law enforcement). The way this course can change to encompass a specific agency's policy and daily operation is also an outstanding feature. I personally do not see how anyone could opt out of a course as comprehensive and informative as this is. I look forward to attending any of your other courses again. I would recommend this course to anyone in this industry.

Hi Jose,
Here is the testimonial about the course.
"R.A.P. 4 Its the most real training in the entire world for police officers. It really get you into a critical situation response, so everything you do is a reflection of your preparation. And there is exactly where you notice if you are doing the right thing or not even if you are, you can see how easy you can be on deadly line. Thanks Joe Medina for come up with this kind of training you are a great Instructor and hopefully most agencies hire you to start a new level of preparation for their officers."

APC Securities is a group of active and retired law enforcement/tactical operators with real time experience and a passion for teaching, unlike some of the fly by night schools that pop up here and there which are just made of a group of good ole boys that read theory from a book, call themselves instructors and attempt to teach. The 5-day Basic SWAT/Domestic Preparedness Seminar offered by APC Securities is a high speed tactical course with minimal classroom time and maximum real deal hands on training. It is a gut check and real world training at its best, I'm looking forward to the Advanced SWAT course. I highly recommend this training to the veteran patrol officer as well as the seasoned tactical operator

The training involved in executive protection training is unlike any training I have ever been through. Anyone can shoot at a range and practice on paper targets but this course gives you the intelligence gathering, protection concepts, and force-on-force system training that no other company will ever give! I will go back for more!

As a law enforcement officer I can't say enough about APC or the recent SWAT/DOMESTIC PREPARDENESS COURSE. First the APC training cadre is dedicated, motivated, informed, high speed, and filled with real time experience. About the course: In my short five years on the Job I have attended many tactical courses and the SWAT/DOMESTIC PREPARDNESS COURSE is the best I have ever attended. I am so much more confident in my abilities and limitations that I know if "IT" happens I will "FLOW LIKE WATER" will dominate the threat and area and survive the encounter!
THANK YOU APC AND STAY SAFE!

Dear APC,
When returning to work after your 5 day SWAT school many co workers asked "how was that SWAT school"? The first thing that came to mind was "intense". I also explained that I have taken many classes in the past and some differences between APC and the others are, the others: as long as you showed up you received a certificate it didn't matter how much you participated, classes were cut short if there was inclement weather, in order to keep you awake most of the class consisted of coffee breaks, instructors stated that they were experts but were unable to answer some questions due to lack of knowledge of the subject. At APC: you earn your certificate. Every student uses teamwork and participates in all subjects. Our night class was held in the freezing rain. We were crawling through mud and laying in mud puddles but we still didn't miss one second of class time and that night APC proved there's no such thing as inclement weather its in adequate equipment and if its not raining your not training. Every day was intense with very little down time. All instructors were very knowledgeable and although they refused to call themselves experts they are. The use of real facilities such as the vacant houses and warehouse provided all with the most realistic training in all scenarios. If you're wondering if I would recommend APC, I already did. Thanks again. Train like your life depends on it because one day it might.
